HOMELESS FEMALE VETERAN

Here at Metro.eco Housing we believe that no veteran should be without a place to call home. To this end, Metro.eco Housing is committed to doing its part to assist in ending homelessness among female born women Veterans. We decided to address this population because female veterans are often overlooked and underserved when it comes to services and benefits. In many cases female veterans have just as much difficulty readjusting to non-military life. Many return home without the ability to blend successfully back into the community due to the stigma of military life.

They often face the same adverse conditions that leads the male population to homelessness however, because they are women, is much more dangerous and loaded with unknown fears. Here at Metro.eco Housing we promote that secure permanent stable housing is a major step to end the homelessness crisis among female Veterans. Metro.eco Housing has taken on this task in helping female Veterans climb out of homelessness and/or avoiding it all together. We will work to assist female veterans to improve quality of life and community integration, increase self-confidence and independence, and decrease possible reliance on institutional care. All thought our focus is simply homelessness prevention, we will also provide the veteran with resources to access of services available to her in the community.

Our focus is threefold :
